How to promote Greek cuisine.

How to promote Greek cuisine. We went on a trip to the beautiful town Platamonas and we noticed that in this place Greeks are actively trying to encourage people to visit their restaurants. You need to arouse their interest, you can do this by talking to them and engaging them, you can do this by giving them free samples or other conveniences such as serving water, people often feel obliged to order the food if the customer is well served and satisfied there is a good chance that they will come back and recommend the restaurant to others, which in turn will spread the word about the place. The best mean of advertising would be regional television because of the attractiveness of the message and a selected group of recipients. If the restaurant has already established a solid position on the market you can be tempted to extend the range of advertising on a national or even international scale through the Internet. To advertise a restaurant it is be necessary to take pictures of dishes, they have to be made in an aesthetic and neat way. As we mentioned earlier it is worth to show the Greek regional cuisine, such dishes as (dolmades, moussaka, horiatki) are very characteristic because of the climate, due to the high temperatures reduces the need for calories Greek food is rich in vegetables, as an interesting fact I can add that in this country there is no such thing as a Greek salad in them it is called a country salad. Desserts are often accompanied by the traditional Greek frappe coffee. Served cold with ice cubes of milk and sugar, this drink is great for the very high temperatures found there. During our stay in Greece we loved its cuisine which is diverse and very exotic. We are very happy for the opportunity to stay, which we owe to the Erasmus+ project.

Animals in Greek cities

Animals in Greek cities Today during the trip we met many animals on the streets of Greece. We were surprised that they live in harmony with people and are not aggressive. They look poor and do not belong to anyone. They are mainly dogs and cats. We did not see small dogs, they were older, large, scruffy animals.  The people here prefer the company of cats to dogs, we saw them sitting on a chair, in public buildings and shops. That were allowed into rooms and sat in windowsills among the people, while dogs were immediately thrown out. We were suprised by this sight and the contact people had with  strange animals. People in Poland would never accept homeless animals into caffes. During our trip to Palios Pantaleimonas we saw these animals with our own eyes. This view was sad , yet charming. Everyone was stroking the animals, who were not afraid of people. There were places. There were places prepared for them with bowls of water. We would like to make people aware of the importance of caring for animals, so below is the link/account number to help Greek animals get a chance for a better life. we invite you to support

Caffee of Greece

Coffee of Greece During the trip in Platamonas we visited several cafeterias where we tried variety of coffees. Our attention was most drawn to Frappe coffee and Greek coffee. Coffe Frappe Did you know that … Coffee Frappe was created by accident caused by a Nestle employee, who had no access to hot water, so he added coffee to cold water and spilled it from glass to glass in order to make foam. In cafeterias employees should ask you how to serve your coffee: with milk and sugar or only with one of these ingredients. Greek Coffee One of the more interesting things you don’t know about Greek coffee is that it comes from Turkey. This coffee is made of finely ground coffee, which is brewed in melting pot. Good coffee includes foam. WORTH KNOWING! Original Greek coffee doesn’t included milk. https://youtu.be/W9IJ3VFhQQ0 In our opinion those coffees are delicious and worth to taste.
