A TYPICAL ITALIAN DAY

(7.30-9.00)

BREAKFAST

On a typical Italian breakfast table, we find crossants, known as cornetti, often filled with jam or chocolate cream, which accompany morning coffee. Breakfast is more of a symbolic meal. It is usually coffee and a sweet pastry.

LUNCH

A typical Italian dinner is a portion of pasta and vegetables, even in the form of a salad. Potatoes are eaten rarely, more often in the north, usually in the form of French fries or fried slices. In the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, a popular dish is Frico (a potato casserole with 3 types of yellow cheese, fresh, 6-month-old and older, sometimes prepared with the addition of fried onion). Wine is consumed with dinner, but in small quantities, usually a glass.

DINNER

For dinner, Italians most often eat pasta, meat and vegetables. Most restaurants offer 4 courses: a starter, first course, second course and dessert. Dinner is a time that can finally be spent with family or friends, so you can guess that combined with the sociable nature, dinner is the most time of the day. Dinner is also often accompanied by wine.
